This has been a long and so awesome week…
Saturday – Luau
Sunday – Church with Robert and Casey who I love a lot. Its been a blessing to be having them go to church and be challenged slowly but surely by our God who is very much living.
Monday – Just gonna say that from here out im up at 545. Work, but then I had small group with Watermarke crew and we dug in to God and exposed our struggles which was awesome.
Tuesday – Work, but then we had our Freshman Bash which was so much more than we could have asked for. God totally showed how not even satan could stop us from loving Him!!!!
Wednesday – Work, then caught in a thunderstorm under Shallowford on 575 for an hour and a half with Robert… (http://twitpic.com/fe2n7). Worshiping our God with the freshman guys and girls who I also love capped off that night.
Thursday – Work, then Brenda and Tyler (until he went to work) and Nick watched The Office (my new favorite show) before Echo. Echo is North Metro Church’s College Ministry. Their speaker Rob McDowell rocked us with just how much we need to trust God. After that we had DODGEBALL! Oh yeah you read that right.
Now I get up this morning and get rocked once again by Miss Brenda with this:
this is a weighty text. can’t get enough of it all day. Romans 12 Marks of the True Christian
Let love be genuine
Abhor what is evil
Hold fast to what is good
Love one another with brotherly affection
Outdo one another in showing honor.
Do not be slothful in zeal
Be fervent in spirit
Serve the Lord
Rejoice in HOPE
Be patient in tribulation
Be constant in prayer
Contribute to the needs of the saints
Seek to show hospitality
Bless those who persecute you
Bless and do not curse them
Rejoice with those who rejoice
Weep with those who weep
Live in harmony with one another
Do not be haughty
Associate with the lowly
Never be wise in your own sight
Repay no one evil for evil – give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of allWhat if. Christianity wasn’t the cool thing to do on Thursday night, but was something people were seeking to die for where the declaration of Christ is prohibited.
What if. Instead of declaring the Truth as a lot of trite cliches, we bind ourselves to it (not by tattooing it on our wrists) cling and live(literally survive) by these words.
this just doesn’t happen.
Jesus help us.From You
and through You
and to You are all things.I’m not a very good Christian.
In Truth grace takes root.
This girl is awesome. She laid it out plain and clear. She knows what God is saying! This world needs more gifted and loving people like her. End of story.
Sorry this one was so long but more than anything, know that God is Great and Good.
