This has been a long and so awesome week…

Saturday – Luau

Sunday – Church with Robert and Casey who I love a lot. Its been a blessing to be having them go to church and be challenged slowly but surely by our God who is very much living.

Monday – Just gonna say that from here out im up at 545. Work, but then I had small group with Watermarke crew and we dug in to God and exposed our struggles which was awesome.

Tuesday – Work, but then we had our Freshman Bash which was so much more than we could have asked for. God totally showed how not even satan could stop us from loving Him!!!!

Wednesday – Work, then caught in a thunderstorm under Shallowford on 575 for an hour and a half with Robert… (http://twitpic.com/fe2n7). Worshiping our God with the freshman guys and girls who I also love capped off that night.

Thursday – Work, then Brenda and Tyler (until he went to work) and Nick watched The Office (my new favorite show) before Echo. Echo is North Metro Church’s College Ministry. Their speaker Rob McDowell rocked us with just how much we need to trust God. After that we had DODGEBALL! Oh yeah you read that right.

Now I get up this morning and get rocked once again by Miss Brenda with this:

this is a weighty text. can’t get enough of it all day. Romans 12 Marks of the True Christian

Let love be genuine
Abhor what is evil
Hold fast to what is good
Love one another with brotherly affection
Outdo one another in showing honor.
Do not be slothful in zeal
Be fervent in spirit
Serve the Lord
Rejoice in HOPE
Be patient in tribulation
Be constant in prayer
Contribute to the needs of the saints
Seek to show hospitality
Bless those who persecute you
Bless and do not curse them
Rejoice with those who rejoice
Weep with those who weep
Live in harmony with one another
Do not be haughty
Associate with the lowly
Never be wise in your own sight
Repay no one evil for evil – give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all

What if. Christianity wasn’t the cool thing to do on Thursday night, but was something people were seeking to die for where the declaration of Christ is prohibited.
What if. Instead of declaring the Truth as a lot of trite cliches, we bind ourselves to it (not by tattooing it on our wrists) cling and live(literally survive) by these words.
this just doesn’t happen.
Jesus help us.

From You
and through You
and to You are all things.

I’m not a very good Christian.
In Truth grace takes root.

This girl is awesome. She laid it out plain and clear. She knows what God is saying! This world needs more gifted and loving people like her. End of story.

Sorry this one was so long but more than anything, know that God is Great and Good.

Just wanted to let everyone know how blessed we have been. Tyler and I are fully in our new home now. Its so beautiful and spacious. Were enjoying not only each other’s company but the company of many new friends. Last night we had the Watermarke college group over (or at least those who werent picking up Kayla Belle) for small group and it was quite awesome. We have been learning a lot about each other (Tyler and I) and have been becoming closer friends by the minute. God has been laying the path and luckly for us, we have been wise enough to follow Him. Talk about awesome.

Just to lift up a few friends, were praying for my good friends Jon and Matt to have work, although they don’t seem to worried seeing as how great and good our Father is. Also, were lifting up my mom and sister who are awesome. Mom has been doing an awesome job covering all the bases in a stressful time but as awlays, encouragement from the Spirit is awesome.

House church starts back up in about a month which is AWESOME! I have been talking to Jarred and Perk some and it seems God is getting us all amped up for a year of blessing and glory. A lot of cool changes are going to be hopefully happening this year to better HC and those involved. As always were all excited to see everyone’s shining faces. I think I’m going to make a twitter for HC this year…

Most everyone might be thinking CHA CHA. I’m thinking  being stuck halfway in the middle. I moved out of my dorm/apartment on campus at KSU yesterday. Housing picked horrible timing to move us out due to there being finals at 11am and move out being at 12pm. Thankfully my future roommate Tyler (@tylerdbehl)’s dad let us move our stuff into his garage.

Backtrack… A week ago Tyler and I went to look at a town home and potentially move into it. The townhome was a beautiful 1700 sqft, 3 stories, has a two car garage and best of all it was only going to be 300 each a month for us including utilities. WHAT A STEAL!! We decided to pray very intentionally about it because I really wanted our decision to glorify God. I knew God had big plans for us and our house. So the praying starts and we are getting into it! Tyler and I for some reason, decide that God really doesn’t want us there. So we get word from Tyler’s dad that we can put our stuff there and in my mind, this confirmed that we didnt need to be there. Little did I know that Tyler’s dad really wanted us to find a place. So Michelle, the owner of the townhouse, emails me back to say that she really enjoyed meeting us and that she would drop the rent from 300 to 275 a person/month and that she wouldnt prorate any of the days before Augusst. WHAT???

Now if you’re reading this and you’re thinking, “Why didn’t you take that James???”, you are asking the same thing everyone else did. Talk about God throwing an EVEN BETTER DEAL in our faces. We still dont take it…

At this point God must be laughing at us becasue we think were following this devine order of God to be “homeless for a while”. Talk about imposing our humanity on God’s divinity (thanks @robmcdowell). Tyler’s dad tell us we need to find a place pronto and gives us a number to a place in Marietta. That place doesnt want 400 per room but wants the whole palce rented out. This brings the price to about 1500. We get another email from Michelle that she could meet us if we changed our mind… At this point thanks to Dan and big bro Will (@superboraderone) I realize, DUDE GOD IS TOTALLY MANDATING THIS FOR US!!!! How exciting!

We grab Ty’s dad’s truck and get a load of stuff, a whole thunderstorm system misses us, we get in a day early and I got free wings and a ride last night! Talk about God being way bigger than we are! So be encouraged by this please! God wants awesome things for us.

Straightforward to now, I’m at work, waiting to move into my place at 3. The rain just let up, of course! Morning started off rough but god is moving in and out of these book shelves to calm the storms. The only thing i need now is a truck to move with. So i fully expect God to pull through with something there too. Wow, what a great and blessed and super messy life we live.
